In 1955, my father traveled to Los Angeles, California, to look at planes for the Royal Canadian Air Force. (I think.)

I was born on May 10, 1958, so I suppose this was near the end of 1958. My dad reads in bed as I stare in rapt attention. Maybe that's why I became a writer. Who knows?

My father and I fishing in Florida in 1960 (?).

Family portrait, taken in Phoenix in 20TK. Muddy, the dog in front of my father, is my younger sister Patty's dog. First row (from left), Morgan Sherve, Dale Quick, E. Lloyd Graham, Jr., Richard Neil Graham.

Second row (from left), Patricia Susan (Graham) Sherve, David Sherve, David Mark Graham, Bill Cone, Connie Cone, Megan Stack, Lisa Thiel, Marcus Graham Quick.

My father in Ireland, on a trip with my brother David, in 2010.

Thanks for posting these pictures. I was sorry to hear that your father died. I worked with him as a young engineer on Project A-New (P-3C avionics) when he was an RCAF Squadron Leader at NADC and later, when he was at Lockheed, on the RCAF Aurora and P-3C upgrades and S-3A.
He was always a very fine man with a good sense of humor and smart.

Thanks, Tom! I am seeing your comments for the first time tonight.

I really appreciate your kind words.

I took a 99-day road trip last summer in the Lincoln Town Car he left me. I hope to finish a book about the trip before the end of this year.

All the best,

Richard
